The rooms were fine. Nice and spacious. The aircon is controlled centrally which I do understand people tend to like different temps but one night it was so hot in the room and set to 25 degrees which is warm when it's also humid.Service was good but the reason for less stars here is that I booked a female dorm but the male attendant burst in multiple times throughout my stay without knocking. This is not very comforting for us.Location was alright and close to the beach however there was a long 2 day Buddhist festival at the temple directly opposite the hostel and the noise all day and all night absolutely ridiculous. Honestly they have huge speakers that they sing and bang drums into all day and night... Obviously the festival is great as it's a Buddhist country but had the hostel owner warned us at the time of booking we would not have stayed here. It resulted in very little sleep. I would avoid this location during Poya or any other Buddhist festival.Otherwise lots of social space here but could do with organising some social events and making use of the space.Bathrooms and beds clean.

Loved staying at The Hostel, great location close to the beach and also all the shops you need but also away from street traffic noise. The rooms and facilities are cleaned daily, probably one of the cleanest hostels I’ve stayed at in my last 12 months of travel. The beds are very comfortable and there’s lots of storage space to easily keep all your things in your own space. Air conditioning in the rooms. Towels available for rent, washing service available and fast speed wifi with a working lounge space. Also, shout out to Dayasiri for his coffee making skills, Thank You.All the staff are super helpful, friendly and easy to talk too. Highly recommended place to stay if you’re looking for good quality at a good price. Will be back one day for sure.

The staff is very niceThe check-in was smoothWe had booked double room number 4, but immediately went back. The whole room is infested with mold and smells accordingly. This room needs to be completely renovated.

Went straight back.We had booked double room number 4 for 2 nights, but left straight away because of the smell of mold. If you look closely you can see the mold. We asked about it and the answer was that it could be painted over again.But the staff was very nice

Quiet hostel near the beach. The owners are totally friendly and helpful. Here you get peace and quiet in a nice and clean room. I can only recommend the accommodation.

Good one best for backpackers better go directly without booking sometimes it’s less than booking.com
